The Manor House in Monkton Combe is an historic medieval manor house in the heart of the Somerset countryside, in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' yet just ten minutes from the centre of the historic City of Bath. A rare example of the English medieval manor, the Manor House was mentioned in Doomsday Book of 1086, and is a family home, full of quirks, atmosphere and history. Relaxed and unpretentious with family pets relaxing in front of the Tudor inglenook fireplace, friends dropping in and a warm and sociable atmosphere, you will be treated as a guest rather than a visitor.

Nestling at the foot of a maze of magical lanes in the beautiful valley of Monkton Combe, the Manor House is only minutes from Bath and is the ideal tranquil location to take advantage of all that this stunning part of Somerset, including the Georgian City of Bath and its attractions, has to offer.

Every comfort you would expect to find is here, with an interior style that is elegant, with a definite sense of fun, as well as those finishing touches put together with the thought and care you would expect from a private host. In the guest rooms, sumptuous fabrics, luxurious four-poster beds and interesting antiques come together to create a style unique to the Manor House. A complimentary full English breakfast is included with the accommodation.

Bath is an area packed with B&Bs, guesthouses and hotels, but very occasionally you stumble on a rare gem of a guesthouse where the building, the food, the service and also the history, blend to form something quite exceptional -
