FROM THE M4 MOTORWAY
Take the junction 18 exit from M4 and turn left towards Bath on the A46.
After 7 miles, you will notice high white stone walls beside the road. At this point take the left hand fork signposted NORTHEND.
At the roundabout, turn LEFT still following signs for NORTHEND.
After half a mile or so, just beyond the WAGGON & HORSES pub, take a small RIGHT turn towards BATHAMPTON.
This takes you across a toll bridge which will cost you £0.50!
Wind your way through Bathampton village, past another couple of pubs and over a canal bridge. Take the first LEFT turn for WARMINSTER. This takes you up a short hill called DOWN LANE. At the T-junction at the top of the hill, turn LEFT still following signs for WARMINSTER. This road is the main A36, and by crossing the toll bridge you have crossed the river upstream, thus saving yourselves entering Bath, crossing the bridge in the city and exiting again.
Drive along the A36 for 3 miles in the direction of Warminster.
You will see a signpost pointing right for MONKTON COMBE, so you turn RIGHT here. At the CROSSROADS, go STRAIGHT ACROSS, still following the signpost.
This brings you into the village of MONKTON COMBE. You will pass a school on your left. Just beyond the school, and just before the WHEELWRIGHTS ARMS pub, you will see a small LEFT turning called MILL LANE. Turn down the hill into MILL LANE, and drive to the bottom. At this point, you will see a white sign to THE MANOR HOUSE, and a PRIVATE sign. Drive down this Private Track, there are 2 houses.
THE MANOR HOUSE is the second and last house, just beyond THE OLD MILL. The private drive effectively ends in our front garden. We have a circular gravel drive round a weeping willow tree, so just park in the drive, and pull the bell rope.

FROM THE SOUTH
Easiest access is from Warminster A 36 so feeder roads into it are the A303 from M3(SE) or A361 from Glastonbury,Wells, Frome direction(SW). As you approach BATH, at the bottom of a gently winding (down) hill, you will see 2 sets of traffic lights 50 yards apart, beside The VIADUCT pub on your left. Turn left just past the pub up BRASSKNOCKER HILL. Take first left at the little crossroads signposted MONKTON COMBE. As you enter the village you will pass the school on your left. Just beyond the school is the village pub THE WHEELWRIGHTS ARMS. Immediately in front of the pub is a lane to your left leading down a hill.
Take this hill MILL LANE. At the bottom continue on down the tarmac drive marked PRIVATE. The Manor House is the second and last house with a circular gravel drive around a weeping willow tree.
Just pull into the drive. Time from A36: 4 minutes
FROM BATH CITY CENTRE
Follow signs to University of Bath which takes you up Bathwick Hill .
At the top of the hill as the road flattens out, you will see the University entrance on your left. Ignore this and continue along the road to take the first major LEFT turn which is about a mile beyond the university entrance.
This left hand turn is down a hill called Brassnocker!
Three-quarters of the way down the hill is a little crossroads with a sign to the RIGHT to MONKTON COMBE. Turn RIGHT here and drive into village passing the school on the left.
Take first LEFT after school just before the village pub
The Wheelwrights Arms, into a road called MILL LANE.
Drive to bottom of lane (20 seconds) and continue down hill on a tarmaced drive marked Private.
Ours is the second house, set back behind The Old Mill.
It has a circular gravel drive around a weeping willow tree and a sign on the left gatepost THE MANOR HOUSE
